A friend of mine is just getting started doing some tennis coaching. To help him out I design a logo along with some business cards. It’s a 2 color design that will be printed double sided on a matte coated card. We’re going to be using JukeBox in Vancouver – they have some great pricing on business cards. Can’t wait to see what these look like in ‘real life’.
Update: I threw together a quick ‘one-pager’ website design too – matching the design of the logo and cards.
I had seen the press release from Starbucks a month or two back showing a sneak peak of their new re-branding and on first impression I liked it. Yesterday my wife came back with one of their newly re-branded paper cups and accompanying sleeves and I must say I’m very impressed. I love the simple clean look and I think the tone on tone green sleeve will become just as iconic and recognizable as the white paper cup with the round green logo has been all these years. It also looks like they’ve gone with the all white lid to even more enhance the new clean re-brand. I love it. Nice job Starbucks.
Belgian waffle with all the fixings at our favorite breakfast hangout in White Rock – Poultry in Motion. It’s a quirky little place with amazing food. They’re only open for breakfast and lunch although I partake in only their fabulous breakfasts. In addition to the waffle above they have the best eggs benny I’ve ever had and their other dishes are terrific too. Posted rules include:
It’s that time again – launch of a new re-design. I’ve gone for a clean and bold look – updating my branding as well with a new color scheme. Along with the design update I’ve re-done my portfolio to show some updated designs and selected designs from years gone by.
The blog is powered by WordPress 3.1 and I’m looking into maybe adding some CMS functionality to the rest of the site using WordPress’s new functionality.
I’m still tweaking the final website design (even though the site is live) so once it’s all 100% ( if that’s possible ) I’ll post a little more about what was involved in this new redesign.
